Your stats and qualifications look good, but this is one of the sloppiest “chance me” posts I’ve seen.

Judging from how poor your spelling and grammar appear to be, I question whether you actually scored a 2360 on the SAT and whether you’re actually capable of writing a “very very strong essay.”

^ He’s an international applicant from India. What would you expect? Either ways, I think his grammar is fine for the most part (this is coming from someone that scored an 800 in the Writing Section of the SAT I).

As for your qualifications, I think you have a very decent shot. For academics, you’re a lock with near perfect/perfect scores for your SATs/subject tests. Make sure you emphasize what you’ve done extra curricular - wise and show your passion for physics/math in your essays. Not really much else you can do at this point. Just write a strong common app essay (as dartmouth doesn’t have its own essay)

Thanks for your reply guys…
As for my Grammer:i wrote this in a very short time , as for SAT I was well prepared so was able to do good

DO you think my 12th marks are good(80)?
What do u think about EC??

I am also applying for AMHERST COLLEGE , will I have a chance ??

i think its highly unfair to categorise indians as having weak grammar and language skills. I’m an indian applicant and in spite of a 730 in writing and a 710 in cr, i doubt i’m weak with in my usage of the english language.
That said, yeshwanth78, your stats look good. I’m an applicant too, and though you’re not as “well-rounded” as many applicants in the pool are, your stats look good.
I’d be interested to know of course how you’ve managed to convey to dartmouth your personal progress in physics. After all, they’re just going to look at the you that is represented on your app, as opposed to the you in real life. Potential counts for little, self presentation is everything. That said, best of luck. Hope things work out great!
