<p>Perhaps University of Toronto could be a good backup school in your context if you’re ok with moving out of country (and don’t mind the cold) for university. I’d say top-20 worldwide for economics.</p>

When I say UM I mean the University of Miami (Fl) , Sorry I’m not specific with it I live in Florida and every one here just calls it UM or “The U”. Thank you for the recommendation I’ll definetly go check it out.</p>
<p>For me, UM could have meant a couple of schools, having chanced people for all of them: University of Minnesota, University of Massachusetts (Amherst), and as well University of Montreal.</p>
<p>But here’s my chance verdict on University of Miami: low match (not sure as to whether I could call it a safety at this point)</p>
