Hi, CCers :] I'm new on CC and if i still had my straight A's from Freshman yr (now going into Senior yr), then you can say I'm ultra-passionate just like you! Unfortunately, today and perhaps the new school year, I won't be like that (other than stuffing my head into an ever amount of textbooks and grueling 'back-to square one' study habits). My story is my life from the day I got that report card to the unforgettable & unofficial transcript junior yr...2.96 gpa. I evidently also took an ACT class, but ended up getting a 21 through the school.

Now you see my tough chances of ever getting into these schools in the midwest/Illinois region.

UIC
Illinois State
Carthage College
DePaul U
Western Illinois
Southern Illinois-Carbondale

*I'm sorry that you didn't see Urbana-Champaign on the list, but there's no chance with that gpa and act score. i want to go into Accounting, and I am still hopeful with the extracurriculars I do/did during high school. I got nominated in freshman year for the 'Congressional/Presidential youth Leadership Award', and I did Student Council and became a rising Homecoming Head committee with bright ideas for the organization's special events. During that same time, i guess you can say I got in with the wrong crowd (my sophomore year) and grades started slipping to Bs and two Cs... I saved my weighted GPA with only ONE honors class though...
Junior year, I was really ready, but things slipped yet again (knowing IN MY HEAD that junior year was the most critical year ever...). I did one AP class and finished up the required foreign language years. I will be going into Senior year again with another AP class and, definitely 'no-slack regular courses'.

As for ECs (extra currics right??), i play the piano and I got invovled with the Teacher Association Music Theory&Performance as well as Sonata/Sonatina festivals... They say your passionate ECs make you the prospective student as well as that high GPA and ACT score...but what went wrong?
Thanks!

Please chance me 1-10 (ten being highest) as of the colleges I listed, and going over the chances I have with the "low score ranges" that may be included with those colleges.
