Hey, I applied ED to Duke but I'm also looking closely at Northwestern and perhaps Columbia as a reach. Can anybody give me any chances? ...Like everybody else on this board, seemingly, I go to an incredibly competitive HS in Washington DC that does not rank. Looking at engineering at all schools

Scores

ACT: 35 (34w 36r, 36m, 35s- one Q away from a 36C D'Arvit!)

SAT II's: 800 MathII 760 Chem 740 Bio (Freshman year)

SAT (Not putting on common app, but will see because I'm sending SAT II scores): 800 M 680 CR 700 W 10 E

AP: 5 Chem, 5 Phys B, 4 English Lit- taking three more by end of year

Academics: Take the hardest math and science classes, not-hard but not easy spanish, and my school doesn't offer any other advanced anything.

Here's the downside- i got mostly B's freshman and sophomore year, but have shown a pretty obvious upward grade trend, getting all flat A's last semester except in Spanish... School offers no awards either

Extracurriculars: plenty, certainly isn't a problem. Captivating essays, too.

Legacy at Duke: Brother and Grandfather

so...? thanks alot you guys :D

I'm like the only one in my math class not applying early to an ivy :'(. I just don't have the grades
