Chances: ED SCS

Hello,

I am an international applicant who have applied to SCS under ED1 plan. I know that the notification deadline is coming up and I am... yeah. Dying. o_O; I would like to know my chance to get into SCS.

Btw, I am a girl, and I heard that SCS give some advantage to girls because apparently they don't have a lot of girls in SCS.. is this true? :S anyways.

GPA: 3.975, in 20% (rank: 10th)
SAT I: 630/690/800 (1430/2120)
SAT II: Math IIC 800, Chinesew/L 770, Chemistry 720, Physics 650 and I am extremely worried about my physics score. But I got A-~A+ for physics classes (A- in IB Physics HL).
EC:

Badminton Club,
2nd @ school for Purple-comet math competition, etc

I think my recommendations and essays are fairly strong.

I am nervous because my physics SAT score is horrible :S but then I know that CMU only requires one math score and one science score.. would my IB physics grade, Chem SAT score and other factors cover that score? T_T

Thanks.

p.s. I have not get the applicant receipt letter, so I don't know what is going on with my application:s I called the admissions office last day and they told me that it takes time for international applicant to get the letter.... so how can I check my result next week?

I don't know exact numbers of women at SCS, I believe it is about a third. The Women@SCS have been working to improve the ratio.

Don't worry about the physics score, if they only ask for two SAT2s they won't look at the 3rd. I don't know how CMU's admissions office does things but often admissions offices will do things like write the highest SAT scores on the outside of the folder so that the people reading the files don't have to search for that information.
