Okay, well this is my first time posting in the Penn forum I believe.

hey i'm from long island too. what school do you go to?

what a coincidence..i also went to the brown summer program. ;)

your sat score is very good, but you might want to retake your SATII's, especially the bio...

your ECs sound really good, though. just write an essay that'll stand out and i think you have a good chance.

My school doesn't offer APs, which is the reason for my low SAT IIs. According to a Penn representative at my school's college fair though, the SAT I score is more important than the SAT IIs.

And yeah, I think my essay(s) will come out really well... I've always been a good writer.

And whoo for Summer@Brown!

I hope I do have a good chance...

Anyone else with feedback?

I'd say applying ED to Arts & Sciences, you have a good shot

Hmm, thanks.

I just feel like everyone that applies to Penn has the same, if not better, grades/rank/test scores/ECs.

Bump (10 char)

i wish i had ur sat scores.

lol me too... sat scores I mean

Bump (10 char)

looking good to me...make sure you show the specific reasons why penn is perfect for you and why you're dying to go there. of course, applying ed is ideal for this...

and whoo for summer@brown is right!

Yeah, for serious!
Were you there in 06? What session?

ya i took contemporary short fiction
it was a one week session...couldn't go for a longer one because i had travel plans the rest of the summer.
what about you?

Globalization & Society in the 21st Century (2 weeks)

Your chances are pretty good. However, I'd really try to improve your low Critical Reading SAT score. This won't look good to Penn if all your other stats are great. If you can't get it to around 780, it would be a lot harder for you to get in, even Early Decision.

For serious? 740 to 780 is gonna make that much of a difference?
I'm already above the 75% mark for Penn. I wouldn't call a 740 that low...

740 for CR low? No way.

He would need a 780 if he had no ECs.

So what would you say my chances are Early Decision with my ECs and the 740 CR?
