<p>What are my chances Early Decision at BU SMG and CAS?</p>

<p>GPA: 3.5 uw, 4.3 W All honors/AP except art classes and senior english at competitive high school</p>

<p>On the BU web site I believe the average SAT (old) for CAS is 1315 or so. You have a very good shot for CAS especially if you can bring it up a little. Your W and UW GPA and course rigor is a huge plus.</p>

<p>I think you have a fair shot. Obviously you've probably noticed that your stats aren't outstanding, but the fact that you're applying ED and CAS major increases your chances to get admitted. The only thing that I guess you can do as now, is to raise your SAT if you can. BU admissions looked at the new writing section a lot last year, so definitely focus on that section.</p>

<p>There's an article today (9/27) in the Daily Free Press which says the ED admissions to BU actually scored a couple of points less than the CAS regular average. BU only admits about 8-10% early - which is still a fairly large number of people - and the profile fits the reported admit profile.
