I really want to go to cornell, and I was hoping you guys could realistically tell me what my chances are early decision. I come from a school where a lot of people apply to cornell and typically a lot of people get in. I am a legacy and if it helps, my mom has done 3 or 4 interviews for cornell. Here are my stats

SAT: 2120: 730M 680CR 710W
SATIIs: 770 US 700 MIC 670 chem 670MIIc 640Bio E (do they look beyond the best two scores cause if so i may be in trouble)

ECs

Thanks a lot form the help

one thing to add, I will be applying to the College of Arts and Sciences

bump anyone please any input would be greatly appreciated

Im also applying ED Cornell. What do you want to major in? Thats a big question that determines chances?

Actually, your major doesn't really determine your chances, but the college you apply to does.

yea i no im applying to arts and sciences but im not sure what im gonna major in

Your SAT Score is probably median-upper percentile range for Cornell, and your GPA is not bad. You participate in a lot of clubs, but I don't see any leadership positions. Do you do any sports, or music?

Your resume seems like it's mostly academic, but there are no awards or recognition for achievement. Classes at Cambridge, unfortunately, are not quite as impressive as most of us would like them to be.

All in all, I'd say 30-40% chance of admittance

im pretty dedicated to soccer and there is a slim chance that I could be recruited. I dont do any music though

30% chance of admittance, GPA is weak..you need much closer to a 4.0

I mean, if you apply ED, certainly better, but Cornell is very grade conscious and very big on rank..your scoress are close to averaeg for cornell which is good

how much does my legacy help?

legacy helps early decision

do u think it makes my chances greater than 30 %?

Legacy + ED, I'd give you a 40-70% chance, depending on how well you market yourself. You seem to be a very 'typical' applicant.

what are your passions....soccer?....

wow your stats are amazingly similar to mine and I want to apply to the College of Arts and Sciences ED too haha...i'm not a legacy but I do have a good GPA going for me. Good luck!
