ok, yeah, but what are the specifications?? what the deadlines for standardized test scores?? is it binding?? and wat are the advantages/disadvantages?

I assume that you are already at WashU. My S has 790 M 640V. He already did his app. and he went RD. We visited the school back in Sept and they have sent us a ton of correspondence from almost every department at the school. Is this normal if they are not that interested in you? Would you get an e-mail from the Head of the particular major and the financial aid department as well as a ton of mail - email from the head of admissions? What else can we do to show that he is sincere and wants to go to WashU? Should he find reason to write to them just so he keeps his name out there. His stats are good and ECs but I think his essay is very weak. So nervous for him.

lillybell, I'm not sure if you are talking to me, but i'll respond

washU is known for its close contact with students. Keeping in touch will definitely be good for your son's chances of admission, but do not bank everything on it. To show more interest, I would recommend having him visit the campus and also to go to any info sessions at his high school if a washU ambassador visits (they can write a special recommendation for him if he shows them he's a good match for the school)

Yes, Shaka, I was directing the question to you. We have already visited the school back in September and my S had an interview on campus. In October the Admissions ambassador did come to his school and he had his WashU shirt on to boot! He introduced himself and he was in a group of just a handful so hopefully this person made note of that. What else should we do to better his chances. The whole family fell in love with the campus and the staff there.
