Chances...Final college list

this forum died after it switched over, i must say. NOt as nearly as many people now

Thanks a lot. What do you think about my other colleges? How good of a chance do I have?

And Dainelsjang, I think it's because people are busy right now getting their application and whatnot straightened out. I myself am just getting my essay completed.

Case Western Reserve University (EA) - Dont know
Worcester Polytechnic Institute (EA) - Match
Duke - Sorry, but pretty much no chance
Northwestern Univ. - High Reach
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - Safety
University of Connecticut - Match
Boston University - Medium Reach

There is a computer-based administration of the TOEFL that is supposedly available on a continuous basis at testing centers - for information go to

A good TOEFL score will help your admissions chances.

With an SAT in the 12s and a weighted GPA of 3.7, I'd say the only school that you should "expect" to get in to is Uconn. The rest are a bit on the reach side if not super duper reaches.

Case Western Reserve University (EA) - reach
Worcester Polytechnic Institute (EA) - Safety
Duke - very high reach (510 verbal makes it virtually impossible to get in)
Northwestern Univ. - same level as Duke (very high reach)
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - reach
University of Connecticut - match
Boston University - match
