Chances for '13

I think I'm going to apply to Dartmouth ED, but I'm still curious about what kind of chances I'd have at Yale or Stanford. Ultimately, I'm looking for an evaluation of my application, i.e., is there anything that appears inconsistent? Thanks ahead of time for your feedback.

Ethnicity: Native American
Location: Midwest

SAT I: 2250 (800M, 750CR, 700W)

GPA: 4.0
Rank: 1/250
School type: **Inter-city public school, yet very competitive.
**Course load:
Hardest possible. I'm an IB diploma candidate, and I'm taking 4 HL classes as opposed to 3. Moreover, the language I'm studying for one of my SL classes, Japanese, isn't offered at my school, so I'm basically studying it independently and taking classes for it at the local university.
Awards: Note that my school doesn't give out awards: National Merit Scholar, National Honors Society, Missouri Scholar, Academic Letterman, Competitive Edge Scholar

Essays: My personal statement is about dealing with my lisp as a debater. My activity essay is about working at a grocery store with people who struggle to meet ends.
Teacher Recs: I've known both teachers since I was 11, so they have a pretty good grasp of who I am. I will waive my right to see them.
Counselor Rec: It'll be good, but I'll waive my right to see it.

Hm... bump! =]

excellent chances

oh man your stats are good.

and native american to dartmouth?! IN
as well as yale and stanford.

You're awesome. Congrats on being a typical Ivy candidate (which makes you awesome) AND being Native American (which makes you unfathomably awesome). Unless you're a troll I'd say you're guaranteed in at any American college that practices AA.

Thanks for the comments. I really want to get into somewhere early... Do you think it would be worth applying to Yale early instead of Dartmouth? Moreover, does anyone know if Yale practices AA?

Yale does, yes. You'll definitely get in there ED if you want. Like I said you'll get in everywhere you apply (except Tufts, hehe).

Great Stats. I would try to raise your SAT scores a little higher (get the 700 to ~740) or so. You have great ECs. I think you have a great chance at all of your choices. Good luck.

in everywhere with being Native American and those stats.

You will get into any school in the country as much as I'd love to have you at Dartmouth! Even RD I don't see you being rejected anywhere.

whoa! this stats are deff good for a native american. you'll get in anywhere. though I don't know how colleges ur applying to practicing AA would view an Asian-American, deaf girl (me).

holy crap. you're in wherever you want to go. no joke.

Does anyone have statistics regarding minority admission rates at Yale and other Ivy League schools? Thanks.

You literally have a 100% chance at Dartmouth, due to the Native American thing. Yale is unpredictable, but you're definitely qualified.

Sorry, I cannot give good predictions, but I do have a remark: I think your personal statement is pretty original. :)

So, at this point, I can't decide between applying to Dartmouth ED and (hopefully) getting in or applying to Yale early just in case they let me in. Any suggestions?

By the way, Yale is technically my first-choice, but because it's a serious reach, Dartmouth is my actual first-choice. Hopefully that makes sense.

Thanks!

Write good essays and I think you're good to go. You seem like an amazing candidate for any school. Just don't apply to the school's I'm going to apply to okay? LOL JK :) Good Luck with everything!

like everyone said.. native american, in

how does it feel to be in to anything and everything?

in everywhere
