Chances for a avg. student...aiming high

Hey guys, senior this year and going through the stresses of Applications...

Supposing that I write and awesome essay and have awesome rec's, what do you think my chances at these colleges are:
1. Wake Forest
2. Tulane
3. Boston College
4. WUSTL
5. Johns Hopkins
6. Emory
7. University of GA/FL
8. Lehigh
9. Syracuse
10. GWU

SAT SCORE: 1250
680 M 570 V
ACT: 27

Not HAPPY AT ALL about this, retaking ACT, taking SAT IIs, and SAT I again...

GPA- 4.3W
3.9 UW
RANK: 8/399 Top 5%

Most Difficult courseload at school..
Extra-curriculars- volunteering, club leaders of several school, 7 Week research program at UM.
Lot's more, summer job, etc, etc

EC + GPA and strongest..I want to get my SAT's up to like mid 1300's, ACT-29/30

Raise your SAT score by 100 points and you are in to them all.

That's a little too optimistic for Johns Hopkins and Emory, you need to get more ECs

Boston College- slight reach
WUSTL- huge reach
Johns Hopkins- huge reach
Emory- reach
University of GA/FL- safeties i think?
Lehigh- match
Syracuse-safety
GWU- match

get those sats up.

You are aiming high but you're not too far off imo.

WashU, JHU: high reach; Emory reach.

You have a chance at the others, but still BC, WF, Tulane and Lehigh are match/reach. My nephew was outright rejected last year at Lehigh with 1240 and top 7% so they aren't safe.

GW is a match, I think you're safe at Syracuse and in at UGA/UF

Might look at Holy Cross and Bowdoin as both schools render SAT's optional. HC has better location-1 hour from Boston.

um...I wouldn;t say Washington University was a huge reach...it's still pretty competitive
