Chances for a couple schools?

<p>I know I'm new here, and many don't like chancing others, but I would really like to see my chances for some of these schools. </p>

<p>GPA: 3.8 UW
ACT: 30 Composite (Hope to raise it to a 32 or 33 in Sept.)
Class Rank: My school doesn't tell us our ranks, but I'm pretty sure it's in the top 15%. </p>

<p>I attend a private Catholic high school, and have taken all honors courses in my high school career. I took one AP freshman year (AP World), one AP sophomore year (AP Euro), two APs junior year (AP US and English Language), and will take three APs senior year (AP Gov, Calculus, and Physics).</p>

<p>Extra Curriculars:
-Swimming 4 yrs: Been on varsity since freshman year, hopefully captain next year. State champ in CT, swam on state team in NY. Many awards and records in my swimming career. I'm pretty close to two All-American times that I hope to surpass this year.
-Volunteered at cancer hospital since sixth grade.
-Volunteer at local church regularly.
-National Honors Society
-Hosted foreign exchange students.
-Attended service trip to Peru, where we built houses and visited the less fortunate. </p>

<p>I am very interested in taking either Civil or Mechanical Engineering. </p>

<p>Schools:
Columbia (Big reach, plan on applying ED)
Villanova (Favorite school, plan on applying EA)
Bucknell
LeHigh
UCONN
Virginia Tech </p>

<p>Columbia’s obviously reachy, but you should have no trouble getting into several or even all of the others. Will you swim in college?</p>

<p>Last time I checked, Villanova wasn’t ridiculously hard to get into. I’d be really surprised if you didn’t get in there.</p>

<p>Great shot at Villanova EA, Columbia takes precious few who are not near the very top of class, top 10% would make it a huge reach, ED or RD, even with a 33.</p>
