Chances for a deaf female to be admitted?

Hello! What are my chances of getting admitted to RIT, Hope College, UIUC, Purdue University, University of Michigan, Illinois Institute of Technology, and Marquette University?

I am a DEAF female from Illinois who is planning on majoring in business and technology (possibly engineering).

Unweighted GPA: 3.5-3.6
Weighted GPA: ~4.6
ACT Score: 28 (M:29/S:29/R:27/E:27) *** I plan on retaking the test.
SAT Score: Haven't taken it yet but I expected to get 1800-2100
All of my classes are either Honors or AP. I will take 6 AP classes throughout high school (1 sophomore, 3 junior, 2 senior).

Extracurricular Activities:
Volleyball Team for 2 years (Captain for the 1st year with Outstanding award)
Basketball Team for all 4 years (Captain for the 2nd year and most likely the 4th year)
Recycle Club for 3 years (Potential leadership position for senior year)
River Club for 2 years (Brand new club that started this year)
Global Initiative Club for 2 years
I will be attending Explore Your Future at RIT this summer.
Plenty of Community Service Hours (Work at School Library, Earth Day Cleanup, Raise Money for Charity, etc.)

It would be helpful to get an idea of my chances of being admitted to these schools and if I would receive a large amount of scholarships/grants. Does the fact that I'm deaf increase my chances of admittance and/or scholarships?

UMI Ross: Reach
UIUC: High match
Purdue: Low match/Match
Marquette: Low match
IIT: Safety
RIT: Safety
Hope: Safety

You are right at the median ACT for IIT and you should get scholarships without even considering the fact that you are deaf. I am not sure if there are any special scholarships internally at IIT but you might be eligible for foundation support or some such.

I can only answer about RIT as my daughter is in her fourth year there. She is hard-of-hearing, an RIT student with NTID support. She loved the EYF summer program! As a student with NTID support you would get a significant discount on tuition. My daughter had similar stats to yours and also got significant scholarship money as an undecided major, so I think your chances at scholarships would be good.

I’ve been looking into scholarships for the deaf and hearing-impaired but they are really hard to find and I am not allowed to apply for them until senior year. Does anyone know anything about these type of scholarships? I tried talking to the Vocational Rehabilitation Services in my state but it’s not easy to get in touch with someone…

Chance me and I will chance back!!! <3
