... and my grandpa went to brown if that matters lol

oh and im a white male and a senior if you hadn't gathered that

thanks again!

bump bump bump

bbbuuummmppp

Your SAT scores and GPA are really good! However your community service, leadership, and extra curricular activities are looking really weak. It might be because you spent a lot of time doing research for your paper. There isn’t really anything you can at this point other than try to stand out in your personal statements and essays. Best of luck!

thanks starbucks. anyone else?

You look very well suited for Caltech. Clearly a proclivity for mathematics and sciences.

thanks nihility, i do have a propensity towards math and science, but I’m wondering how good my chances are for acceptance (although i do understand that nobody can give me a truly accurate estimate). I’m still not sure it will even be worth applying to caltech or brown.

IDK why, but you stick out to me for some reason. I guess it is kind of a weird thing to say. The thing about caltech is that they are only accepting about 250 a year… but I don’t see why you wouldn’t be one. Why isn’t MIT a consideration?

Caltech seems like a good fit.

Brown: Reach

Caltech: High Reach (check 2015 Cal Tech EA RD decision thread. you will know what i mean.)

U Chicago: Reach (expect very low acceptance rate)

NYU: Solid chances
Cornell: Solid chances

good luck to you

thanks guys

Ur sat math and subject test math scores are a little low for caltech

You have great test scores for every university you’re interested in other than maybe Caltech (they have insanely competitive standards). The only thing that might kinda bring you down is the fact that you don’t have an EXTREMELY rigorous academic history (although that unweighted GPA is amazing). I’d say that you are pretty much certain to get into NYU, decent odds into Cornell and Chicago U, and both Brown and Caltech are reach to high reach schools, respectively.
