Hello everyone! This is my first time posting to CC even though I have been a viewer on this site for a few years. I am currently a rising high school senior.

State: Florida
Major: Biology/Animal Science (I would like to be a vet in the future)

Weighted GPA (at the moment): 6.3 (my school gives 0.08 per semester for AP/Dual Enrollment credit and 0.04 for honors) When I finish the first semester of senior year it will be at least 7.2

Are the OOS schools on your list affordable? UC Davis offers no financial aid to OOS students so expect to pay full fees at $55K/year or more, so something to consider if you plan to attend Vet school in the future.

You are below average for test scores for UCD, so retaking will definitely help your chances. If your UC GPA is 4.0+, I would say you stand a decent chance at an acceptance.

Thank you for responding so quickly! My calculated UC GPA is 4.08. My test scores are certainly something I have to work on as I foolishly did not study for my first and only current SAT.

Happy to say that I got into UC Davis and the Honors Program, UF, NC State, and Transfer Option for Cornell. Did not apply to Rollins.
