chances for a florida girl?

i would LOVE to go to the west coast for college. same weather as FL where i'm at right now but a new scene (which i'm much in need of. i'm sick of living in PCB, spring break city of the universe)
even though at first i was just looking at pomona and stanford i was thinking about giving USC a try as well.

i was leaning toward something in the sciences (pre med) or maybe IR

so anyone wanna chance a girl? or suggest any improvements?

Your stats look excellent. You should definitely apply by the scholarship deadline (Middle of December, instead of in January). Make sure to work hard on your essays and get good teacher recs.

Looks like you'd be very competetive for Stanford and Pomona as well. My D sounds similar (2 sport captain, lots of community service, mission trips) and will be attending Pomona this fall. Are you being recruited for sports? My D was not, but is hoping to play soccer there - Division 3 is certainly less competetive - she'd have no shot playing at a D1 school.

One comment - try hard to get 5's on your AP exams. I believe adcoms at the top schools look at this (not the number of exams, the number of 5's) more than most people realize. Your GPA and SAT's are exceptional, so why aren't you getting 5's? Any question like that in the minds of an adcom may cause you to be tossed into the "rejected" pile.
