Chances for a high school senior?

Hey hey, I was wondering if y'all could chance me for admission to UMD.I'm interested in polisci, and UMD obviously would be a good choice due to its proximity to DC and its strong programs. Here are my stats and whatnot:

SAT: 670 CR; 560 M; 620 W; 11 Essay (Taking again on October 1st, very likely to go up)

Anyway, how do you think I'll do applying Early Action to UMD? Thanks!

If your SAT scores stay the same (UMD looks at CR and M), your scores are on the low end, especially if you are coming from NJ…there are so many applicants from NJ, the competition is pretty tough. That, plus your weighted GPA of 3.7 (what is the unweighted GPA?) will put UMD as a reach school for you, I believe. You never know until you try, tho, right?

my daughter had similar #s gpa slightly higher and a lot of community serivce and was accepted last year from a very competitive high school in NJ. she loves UMDCP

I say borderline admit. It could go either way. I would try if I were you for sure. You never know.
