good chances, especially if you are ED. Hispanic or not, it is a diverse school, so quota may not be as vital as in other school. good luck

Thanks multi tasker. I have a few questions though. Does ethnicity, in my case Cuban, really affect admission rates? And is my gpa too low for better rated schools like Brandeis or Vanderbilt? Even if I get a 32+ act and 4.0 this semester with my rigorous schedule?

Does ethnicity, in my case Cuban, really affect admission rates? I don’t think so, in the case of ED, but if you apply RD it may be affected by a quota
And is my gpa too low for better rated schools like Brandeis or Vanderbilt? Yes, definetly. Try to pump it up as much as you can
Even if I get a 32+ act and 4.0 this semester with my rigorous schedule? then, you could have a better chance.
What major are you pursuing? These schools are certainly very different from each other, and the locations and environments are completely opposite. I would recommend visiting and/or interviewing if possible.
Good luck

Political science all the way. And pre-law
thank you!

any more thoughts?!!
pleaseeeee

You have a good chance to get accepted to GW. My son, Central Florida Hispanic with GPA 4.7 was accepted and given a Presidential and Alumni scholarship. You must contact GW recruiter before he shows up in your school. There are many top scholars trying to get into to GW and the competition is fierce since they are very generous with FA. Don’t give up hope and more than likely you’ll be attending Colonial Inauguration next year. GW is an awesome university in a dynamic city. You can’t go wrong with GW.
