Chances for a Junior at UCs

I still have 1 more semester to go, but up to what I have right now:

In-State
UC GPA: 3.62
Weighted: 4.14
Un-Weighted: 3.33

SAT (if I get this): 2200

SAT II: Korean 780, Chemistry 680
Expecting Math IIC 800, Biology 750, US History 750

APs: Euro 4, Comp Sci A 4
Will be taking: Comp Sci AB, Language and Comp, Biology, US History

-120 hours community service @ Library
-over 200 hours community service @ hospital
-active in Red Cross and FBLA
-will do 150 hrs of internship over the summer

Full IB Diploma Candidate
very competitive high school

I know my GPA is kind of low, but will getting a high SAT score (like 2200) and being full IB help my chances at getting into UCs?

UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, UCI, and USC are the ones I'm most interested in.

Thanks.

From what I've read on these forums, colleges would rather see a High GPA/Lower SAT than a Low GPA/High SAT; however, I can't be too sure with UCs. I'm in the same dilemma, and hopefully, someone can respond with a clear answer

Thanks for the response.
The problem is, my high school is super competitive, so only the geniuses get high GPA, and well, I'm no genius.

I believe the UC's will take your competitive school into consideration. It's not like they have a standard for GPA's for every school. The standard is based on the class's average for that particular school. From the looks of it, I'd say your chances are good for the UC's.

Try to attain more leadership-involved activities and are you in a sport? Also, I've heard the essay has climbed the ladder in terms of importance.... so take that a bit more into consideration.
