Chances for a Junior?

Hey guys, this is my first post on here and it seems to be a super nice community! I just wanted some opinions since I'm finishing my Junior year and am starting to stress out over college applications. I plan on taking the pre-med course and then on to med-school (preferably the top ones).

PSAT: 195 Sophomore, 203 Junior
ACT: 36 superscore (ACT 1: 35 E, 33 M, 36 R, 36 S, 8 essay) (ACT 2: 35 E, 35 M, 35 R, 35 S, 8 essay)
-I plan on taking the Sat II Physics and Math 2 this year

Will take APUS, AP Gov, and AP Stat this year, all 4 next year.

Senior Schedule:
AP Chem, AP Bio, AP Enviro/AP Phys 2, AP Calc BC, Honors French 5, Honors Masterpieces, Honors Human Anatomy, P.E.

Extracurriculars: I think this is the weakest (only started caring this year)

Awards:
French Writing Competition (Le Grand Concours) - 1st place freshman and sophomore years
Local STEM competition - 3rd place freshman year, 2nd place sophomore year
Local math competition - 3rd place freshman and sophomore years

Major: Not decided, thinking about biology, going on the pre-med track

Other:
-Family income is around 120k
-male, Indian ethnicity, moved to the U.S., naturalized U.S. citizen
-Not sure if this matters, but I've always gotten the highest grade possible in my classes (A 5.0 is given for honors and AP classes if you have above a 97%)
-I'm fairly confident I will get A's in my senior year, small possibility chem might mess me up :(

Schools:
Harvard, Duke, Stanford, JHU, WashU STL, Cornell, Dartmouth, Ohio State, UPenn, UCLA or UCSF, and St. Louis University as my absolute fallback.

*Sorry for what seems like an overly long post, I wasn't sure how much info to include. Thank you guys so much in advance!!!

bumpp

HS is a reach for all but you have a good chance
Isn’t UCSF only a graduate school? I may be wrong.
Ohio State and St Louis University are match
UPenn, UCLA, Dartmouth, Cornell, WUSTL, JHU, Duke are low reaches. You should get into 3-4 of these I think.
Nice resume, chance me- http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1621493-sophomore-on-the-right-track.html#latest

@Aquas98 you are correct. UCSF is a grad school. OP should probably do more research on the schools he wants to apply to.
Anyways:
Harvard + Stanford = high reach
Cornell, Dartmouth, Duke, JHU, UPenn = reach/lowreach
UCLA = high match/low reach
Ohio State + SLU = Match/safety

Are you guys sure that SLU is only a match/safety? That is an extremely good school, and better than UCLA and arguably in the same tier as Cornell.

OP, your ec’s and awards are great. Your senior year course load looks fantastic. Only thing is, I think your sophomore/junior year course load may be the only thing that limits you. Yes you will have taken 5 AP tests by the time you have submitted your apps, but no offense, APUSH and AP World History are the only comparatively hard tests you’ve taken. Yes, GovPol, Comparative, and Stat are still AP’s, but compared to AP Eng, AP Physics, AP Calc, etc, they aren’t terribly difficult. Remember, it’s quality not quantity that stands out. Anyway, Harvard and Stanford are definitely high reaches. I’d say UCLA/Ohio State are definitely matches. Dartmouth and Duke are reaches. The rest are low reaches but I’d expect that you would be able to get in JHU, SLU, UPenn & Cornell.

I don’t know if it’s necessarily a good idea to take 4 science AP’s senior year though.

@bbman888 - I think you’re thinking of Washington University at St. Louis, which is a very good school with a 17% acceptance rate. However from what I understand OP was asking about St. Louis University which has a 62% acceptance rate.

Thanks for the responses guys! Yeah SLU is my safety, my sister goes there too and I’m like 99% sure I would get a full ride. Wow I did not know about UCSF. Is my 2200 on the SAT going to lower any chances to the reaches? I don’t plan to retaking the SAT or the ACT.

So the first thing is that not all schools superscore the ACT, so make sure you check that, but it shouldn’t matter. You have great grades, but so does everyone else applying to most of these schools and your ECs are mediocre, it’s obvious you’re getting involved because you’ve realized you need to be well rounded (no offense, sorry) and admissions officers will see that, so it will definitely detract from your application

Harvard, Stanford: reach
UPenn, JHU, WashU STL, Cornell, Dartmouth: mid reach
Duke: high match
Ohio State: safety
I don’t know about UCLA, UCSF, or St. Louis University
