Chances for a Junior

<p>I'm going to graduate early as a junior because of my household circumstances which I thoroughly explain in the common application. Thank You for your replies (;
I'm actually applying to Smith as well; regular decision.</p>

<p>GPA: 3.9 and 4.9
Top 4% of class
Rank: 28/807 (will increase as soon as semester grades are in)</p>

-Received National Scholastic Press Association Honor Roll in 2007 and 2008
-Volunteer at the hospital weekly (over 50+ hours)
-did over 70+ hours babysitting the nursery at church</p>

<p>-I live in Florida and attend a public high school in Orlando
-I'm applying Winter Early decision.
-My essay is about how I live with my white grandparents (I'm Korean) and the diversity I have gained through this experience.
-I'm going to schedule an interview; I am fairly certain my teacher recommendations will be great
-I'm taking my ACT's in December and from my practice tests, I think I will get in the range of 30-33 (even though they are not required)
-Intended major is either Premed or Engineering.</p>

<p>So how do my chances of getting accepted look? Does my graduating early have any affect on my admissions? Thank youu !</p>

<p>I think you have a great chance...and you could probably call and confirm that an early graduation wouldn't affect you. </p>

<p>That said, I'm a prospective too, so I really have absolutely no idea about any of the admissions stuff. :) Good luck though!</p>

<p>I have no idea how MHC feels about early graduation, but you certainly look like you have a reasonable chance for admission. </p>

<p>Important: Don't list your intended major as pre-med. You can write it somewhere, but, like most liberal arts colleges, we don't have a pre-med major, just a program. Also, if you mention engineering, you might want to figure out a way to mention our dual degree program (even if it's as simple as writing "Dual Degree Program: Engineering" instead of engineering alone). You want to make sure you look like you did your research. ;)</p>
