Chances for a lower class student

Hey. I was wondering if anyone would like to help me out. I'm a junior and was making my list of schools to apply to and have decided to shoot a bit higher (due to a fellow CCer, actually). Would anyone mind reviewing these schools (safety/match/reach/etc)?

Please keep in mind the fact that I attend a huge school that is majority URM and has sent someone to an Ivy only once (Stanford). Getting into a community college is what most kids are worried about at my school, if they are worried at all. I'm aware that this puts me at a huge disadvantage, but I'm entering a dual enrollment program next year where virtually all of my courses will be college level.

Stats...
Junior, Hispanic male,
4.4 GPA (weighted),
4.0 (unweighted),
2180 SAT,
NHS, Beta, Skills USA, Math Team, Mentor,
90+ community service hours (still getting more),
currently prepping for AP Bio, AP Calc BC, AP Lang exams,
only honors, magnet, or AP classes,
doing joint enrollment next year at small college,
fairly good essay in preparation of applications,
really good teacher recommendations

Schools...
Ga State (safety)
UGA (honors)
Ga Tech
Emory (reach/match, I've been told)
UChicago (I've been told match but I still think it's a reach)
Swarthmore (just to see if I get in)
MIT (same as above)

Also, if it's any help, I attended a 3 week biotech program at Ga Tech the summer of freshman year and Governor's Honors Program (math major/communicative arts minor) the summer of sophomore year. This summer I plan on volunteering on a regular basis at a nursing home (I've done it in the past and, peculiar for a teenager I suppose, I love speaking with elderly people).

Swarthmore--Match
MIT--Slight Reach to Reach

You should work hard on your APs next year and try to get more ECs in your profile--but if you do that, you will probably get in at all of these except MIT.

Without a ton of ECs and slightly higher SATs (like 2250+) or at least two SAT IIs that are 740+, you will have a difficult time getting into MIT.

Thank you! I'm planning on taking the SAT IIs in Bio and Math L2 in June and then Lit or Physics next year around December.

You also have to remember that the private schools especially take a look at the fact that you are a Mexican-American and a minority, which is truly a big advantage.

True. I know a senior at my high school (African American female) who got into Emory with a 1700.

I'd put some more reaches on your list, just in case. You look fine for most of the schools on your list. MIT is a reach though.

I am JW what you mean by lower class? LOl

I meant lower socioeconomic class (in terms of income, family educational background, and living area).

Oh all right, I thought at first you meant grades and scores and I thought you were crazy.
