**3rd generation Reiki energy healer

Woww, I sound so stuffy. I'm trying to find something that I can jump off the page with. I figure that the energy healing will sort of do that but before you guys say ANYTHING let me explain pleaaase!!

**Alright so it's not scary. I help my mom heal others and I do it myself while I'm at school, in the dorm, on the field etc. Its a big part of my life because my mother and I are really spiritualist (don't be scared)!! Haha, I've been thinking about doing a clinic at Westover and except that I'm kind of selfconcious. I think I'm going to hold a session to get people through the 1st phase of training (the 1st step out of 3) in order for them to become a Reiki master. I think its really interesting and that schools may appreciate the diversity of this rather than the seemingly typical protestant/jew/catholic/muslim/atheist/agnostic/you're own personal mix.

Haha, what do you guys think? I'm mostly interested in Andover due to the closeness to my cousins and family :)

-Celeste

your stats look really good : )
just write good essays and nail your interviews and i would say you have a very good chance.

merr, thanks sunny :]
i think i can write a pretty ballin’ essay if i get my english teachers to look over it for me and stuff. haha and if i rock my interview they’ll hopefully see part of me that gets lost in my written app.

however, i haven’t talked to my parents about my transferring. i hope they let me, i remember before them saying that its either westover or back to public school. since i repeated a grade already i’d be the grade below my friends, ■■■. they think i really love westover (which i do) but i hope they see that I really want a chance to go somewhere that is really great-- better than westover.

yeah i know what you mean. i go to a really small school so clubs and activities are extremely limited. i want to go to school in a big community where there’s anything you can think of : )

i’m also applying as a junior. which one do you want to go to the most? maybe we’ll meet : )

andover fo shaooo. how about you?

haha same. now the hard part is getting in though : S
i wouldn’t mind going to choate/st.paul’s/lawrenceville either though. i feel as if they’re second tier… that may not be true but that’s just the feeling i’m getting.
as for a backup, i’m probably applying to webb in california. i looked into thacher but it seems like it’s more for someone that’s interested in horses. any other ideas for potential back up bs’s?

St. Pauls, Lville and Choate are hardly second tier and should never be considered backup schools. As a back-up try looking at Blair, Peddie, NMH, St Georges, etc. Those are second tier but its a good tier to be in ;)

:O Im also applying to Andover for Junior yeaaar!!! Maybe I’ll see you there  Ohh, check out my chance page and…chance me  : http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/prep-school-chances/776559-chance-me-im-junior-living-honduras-who-wants-go-andover-choate-2.html</a> I’m also applying to Choate, Deerfield, Loomis Chaffee, and a few others :)

@ josh bryon–
oh heyy pal. thanks for posting on my thread and yet completely ignoring my question, haha. no big. i’ll check out your page…

oh no i didn’t say that they were backup schools, i was referring to webb as my backup : )

ahhh success
my viewbooks got here todayyy!!!

Good luck in sorting through all the possibilities! And for those who took their SSAT’stoday … it’s over and do not get panicked by the people here that talk about their high scores. That is only a SMALL part of each application.

hahaha, sorry Bumble.B. Hey, I noticed that you mentioned that you would like to work for the foreign service. Well, my dad works for the State Department/Foreign Service/US Embassy  haha, I’m planning on following his footsteps (I love traveling. In total, I’ve lived in 7 countries and visited around 20 countries) Its awesome :)

you’re livin’ the dream, my friend

hahaha, well, moving around so much is kind of hard. But, do you think it looks good to boarding schools that I’m so…multicultural, cause a few of my boarding school essays are actually about that :(

got my grades back todayy! make that an A in history of LA instead of a B+ :)
