Chances for a midwesterner

okay...so i've been looking into CMC for college, and i really like it, but i'm kind of unsure about exactly how competitive it is, and my chances. my high school isn't exactly a feeder for cmc. if anyone could give me an idea, that would be appreciated. :-)

okay...stats
GPA: 4.1w/3.95uw
Rank: 4/145
SAT 1: 2100 (700/700/700) (my high school average SAT is 1770)
SAT 2 US History 770, Spanish Reading 770, Bio-m 720
AP: US Hist-4, US Govnt-5

umm...Ec's are good, i don't feel like writing them all out, but I am an editor of the newspaper, i have an officer position in another school club. i do a lot of volunteer work (that's actually what i enjoy more than anything). I teach english to immigrants/refugees (about 250-300 hrs) and I am a counselor current exchange students in the US because I was an exchange student in S. America for 2 months (about 300 + hours volunteering). i also play an instrument on my own (my school doesn't have a band) and i've won a few awards for it. i also have a part time job at wal-mart for like 15 hours a week.

awards...again, im not going to list them all, but i've won some good general academic awards, some writing awards (for journalism), a few leadership (girl scout) related awards, and some music awards

i think that my essays will be pretty good, i like to write.

anyway, if anyone has any info about cmc admissions (like what they value in an applicant, etc) that would be appreciated.
thanks!

chances look GREAT. usually, if an applicant has lower scores or lower grades, they look for tsomething to make up for it, like if the student was really dedicated to student government or volunteering, etc. you, on the other hand, have a great gpa AND good ecs. i think you have a fabulous chance.
