Hello every1, I was wondering if some of you could tell me my chances at the colleges I'm applying to. I'm an African American female, low income, live in urban area and my parents didn't go to high school.

GPA: 3.8 W
SAT: 2030 (700m, 680v, 650w)
will take SAT II's for MATH II & US History
Honors: Ventures Scholar, National Achievement Commended Student
Volunteer: Nursing Home, Boys and Girls Club, Salvation Army
Most of the classes I've taken have been Honors w/ a few APs
AP Calc AB-4
AP US History- 4
taking AP Calc BC, AP Euro, AP Bio this year

EC'S
Basketball and Softball (9,10)
Spanish Honor Society (11,12)
Burger King~ 25hr/week (12)
Couldn't do more school EC's because I spend a lot of my time babysitting my younger family members while their parents are at work.

Schools:
Brown
Columbia
Cornell (ILR)
Duke
Emory
NYU (Stern)
Rutgers
U Penn (Wharton)

Feel free to recommend some safties/matches. Thank You.

Brown:high match
Columbia:high match/slight reach
Cornell (ILR):match
Duke:high match
Emory:match
NYU (Stern): match
Rutgers: serious safety
U Penn (Wharton):high match

Thanks to all who commented and left me with some reassurance in these stressing times. But, I'm not understanding how Columbia is the hardest one to get in to, even harder than Wharton.

I think you're the kind of urm most schools are looking for: low income, first generation, urban, worked and still did well in school in honors classes. Your sats and aps show you'll do fine anywhere.
