<p>I do not wish to state my race.
I go to an extremely competitive private school.
I know I have decent chances at these schools but I want to know if they are safeties. I'm not in state for any of them. </p>

<p>Intended Major - Astrophysics.
MIT - Number one choice.
I applied to every Ivy league school.
Wash U
UCLA</p>

<p>I understand my extracurriculars are on the weak side. I hold more importance in my studies than my outside activities. I have nearly no social life. However, I get along with everyone fine. I just don't have a social life because I overload myself with so much schoolwork. I want to go into astrophysics and get a job at NASA. I want to get my degree at MIT. Preferably. Other schools which don't have my major were listed for my pride only - my family would be proud if I were to be accepted everywhere. I come from a relatively low income family ~ < 80k a year. My parents had to give me a lot of money to help with my exam fees. </p>

<p>By the way I hope you guys don't think I'm a troll. I really did work my ass off in high school. I want to know if I would get enough financial aid or scholarships to attend my selected colleges; it would be very unfortunate if I end up at a lesser school due to my financial situation.</p>

<p>Just saying, though, my family makes 70k - 80k a year and I don't think we're "lower income." My older sister didn't get any financial aid from the government or from u delaware, where she went. Of course, you said "<80k" so your family could make a lot less than mine.</p>

<p>In my honest Opinion, i think you will be accepted to 10/12 of the ivies, at the least.
in at ucla and mit.</p>

<p>Thanks for feedback so far. Where I go to school, it is quite common to hear of kids parents making triple digit salaries (100k), and in some causes quadruple digits (1000k). I just think my EC's will hurt me.</p>
