chances for a prospective traveler

So I am currently a senior, but after graduation I plan to embark on a cross country road trip, which is expected to last almost a year. After receiving various opinions (many of which were from this site) I have been convinced that my best option is to apply this year and defer enrollment.

The next question is, will even be able to get into the schools that i plan on applying to? (Not the greatest student by the way)

My GPA is around a 3.2
Class rank 110

Extracurriculars include-
4 year Consecutive Varsity track athlete, in which I have won various 1st place all conference and 1st place all county awards.
Officer of schools Nature Club
Swimming for 3 years (gold and silver medals)
Various awards for Artworks

I also just recently have been elevated to Eagle Scout with a Bronze Palm after participating in Boy Scouts of America for more than 7 years.

SAT
Math 500
Reading 590
Writing 650

Chances at-
Rutgers NB
UMass Amherst
SUNY Stony Brook
SUNY Geneseo
Appalachian U
Rowen U

am I aiming to high???

helppppppp???????

???????????????

those are all state schools. there is really no way to know your chances without knowing your state of residence.

oh, well I am a northern nj resident. Not sure whether I want to stay relatively close to home, or stay farther away, so I'm trying to keep a range of options

I think App State may be a possibility, sorry but its the only one i'm fairly familiar with.

Don't go for UMass -- they receive way too many applications already.
Try your local state schools; you have a better chance of being accepted.
