<p>In terms of essay advice, write whatever you think is best for you. Keep in mind that for Chicago, you also have to do a "Why Chicago?" essay and a favorite things essay-- these are other opportunities to show who you are and should not be overlooked.</p>

<p>since my parents are pretty adamant about my applying to schools a little closer to home, is anyone willing to chance me for stanford, harvey mudd, and possibly caltech?</p>
