I believe my essays can help me a lot in the process but that's irrelevant for the time being.

I think the one college I'm very interested in (and possibly ED) is Northwestern.

Others include:

NYU (Stern)
UPenn
Lehigh
UMich
Dartmouth
Emory
Boston U.

I'm looking to major in Business/Economics. Thanks for your help.

Yeah, no one's commenting mine either (rolls eyes).
Your stats look good to me. I don't think you'll have a problem getting into Emory and I think you have a good chance with Northwestern ED.
UPenn is sort of a reach, especially for Wharton.

Stick with those SAT scores. 2240 is quite good.

Your GPA will hurt you some. ECs are average. Write an essay on your volunteer hours at hospital.

Northwestern - match-safety
NYU - match
UPenn (Wharton) - reach
UPenn (CAS) - match
Lehigh - safety
UMich - match
Dartmouth - match
Emory - match-safety
Boston U - Safety

Amina, what do you mean? I put NU and Emory as match-safety because I'm pretty sure he will get in but it's not quite as certain as a safety (75-90% give or take).

NYU is a match because he will probably get in. (60-75% give or take)

Boston U looks like a good safety...but, have you done any leadership in your ECs?

Anyways.

Northwestern (ED) - Slight reach
NYU (Stern) - Match
UPenn - Reach
Lehigh - Match
UMich - Match/slight reach if OOS (due to GPA)
Dartmouth - Reach
Emory - Match
Boston U. - Safety

i am no better at this than you, nathan. i just figured that if NU (# 12) is considered a safety for him, NYU (# 37) should be cake, right? maybe i am looking at this all wrong, though.

i think he has a good chance at all 3 (emory, nu, and nyu).

amina - I may be wrong, but I think even though NU is ranked higher than NYU, NYU gets more applicants (reason: greenwich village >>> evanston). Plus, he's applying to Stern. The reason why I said you may be able to give him a better idea is back in May, you actually recommended NYU to me, so I thought you had more of a familiarity with the school than I do.
