Chances for a Rising Senior

I am a rising senior at a private school in Charlotte NC. I am only thinking of applying to 5 schools: Furman(They already offered me a scholarship), Duke, UNC, Vanderbilt, and Penn.
My SAT is 2180(720 math, 720 CR, 740 Writing) 32 ACT. National Merit semifinalist. I plan on putting Duke and Penn as the two schools to notify on the National Merit form, in that order. I am either going to graduate as the valedictorian or the salutatorian in a class of about 100 people. Usually a handful of people get accepted into top tier universities from my school every year. Both my parents went to UNC. I will have graduated with 11 AP credits, and so far have scored a 4,5,5,5,3 on us history, calculus BC, English language, Spanish language, and physics C, respectively. Next year i plan on taking AP chemistry, AP Stats, AP Spanish literature, AP English Literature, and AP government, and am pretty certian i will get a 4 or higher on all of them. I am a confident and skilled writer, so i think my essays will be good to excellent. My reccommendations are coming from my calculus teacher (a duke alum) and my Spanish teacher, who both love me.(Especially my spanish teacher, i am the first person from my school to get a 5 on the ap spanish language exam.)

I dont plan on doing early decision anywhere, id really appreciate it if someone would tell me what chances are. (On Vanderbilt, duke, and Penn, im almost positive i will get into UNC and Furman)

Yeah UNC an Furman are safe bets (not guaranteed like a traditional safety, but very likely).

I would say you have solid chances at Duke and Vanderbilt. Penn may be more difficult. Hmmm… yeah that’s about it really.

So, likely (or at least a genuine chance) for admission to Duke/Vanderbilt. Penn I would say you honestly can contend but may be the most reach on your list.

P.S. Congrats on the 5 on A.P. Spanish. That is honestly very impressive. I could use that Spanish prowess as I’m struggling through A.P. Spanish at the moment and don’t have high hopes for the exam at the end of the year.
