^ I know the above EC's are not very good...but I'm hoping my essay will reveal more character than any EC's could.

I always thought that I should do what I love so I always condemned those "transcript padders". Rest assured, the above EC's are things that I'm passionate and devoted about (never saw point of doing something I didn't have an interest in)

Colleges:

UCSD
UCLA
UC Berkeley
UPenn
Cornell
Yale
NYU

Any other colleges that you think would match...

Also, several questions:

1) Will the mistaken "F" on my community college transcript profoundly impact me? I know that it will hurt to some extent but if I give a thorough explanation...do you think there will be any significant repercussions?

2) If I know that I want to be a business major and show it through my EC's, will that impact my chances in any way?

Hmm, the lack of a 2400 on the reasoning will certainly hurt you. The EC curriculars are also pretty terrible. Boxing and Wrestling do not well round you athletically.
My Chances:
UCSD - slight reach
UCLA - big reach
Berkeley - big reach
UPenn - reject
Cornell - waitlist
Yale - reject
NYU - reach

“Hmm, the lack of a 2400 on the reasoning will certainly hurt you.”

^ No it won’t… plenty of applicants get accepted to the Ivies each year without a perfect SAT score. Also, what’s wrong with boxing and wrestling?

It’s sarcasm.

LOL shiomi. Did you post that when I signed off. But yes, bump please. (:

Your numbers are set. 5s on everything, decent GPA, great SATs. I’m sure you know this, but, yeah, try to convey to adcoms how you round out as a person–the great athletic record should show a lot.
UCSD - match
UCLA - high match
Berkeley - reach
UPenn - very high reach?
Cornell - don’t know?
Yale - crapshoot
NYU - low reach

^ Thanks to the above post. I’m currently working on to boost my EC’s. Seems like my GPA is capped out since I’m a junior too. (:

I know most of the schools I listed I probably won’t get into but it’s nice to dream.

…and my inability to recognize sarcasm humiliates me once more on this forum. I can tell when people are being sarcastic when we talk face-to-face, but verbal irony just doesn’t work well when typed.

ANYWAY. Back to the topic.

UCSD - in
UCLA - in
UC Berkeley - high match
UPenn - reach
Cornell - low reach
Yale - reach
NYU - in
