I'm shooting for Gallatin. I've heard that they rely on essay the most out of all this and if i'm spunky and optimistic like i am i'd have a good chance of getting in?

The GPA is great, but like you said, the SATs are really hurting your chances, especially considering you are applying for Gallatin, which is one of the two toughest schools (along with Stern) to get into at NYU.

Based upon what you posted here, I'd have to say rejected, but if you can retake and get a higher SAT Math score--at least 600-620, and raise your SAT II scores by about 60-70 points each, then I'd say you'd get in.

Best of success.

P.S. Make sure you take lots of sample tests before you retake the actual tests. In your case, showing a higher score on your first retake will be real important to NYU.
