Chances for a transfer student (CAS)?

Hi everyone,
I am looking into transferring to NYU for the fall 2015 semester. I am a freshman at a private 4-year university in a neighboring state currently. I am a double major in biology (research track) and German language. I had a high GPA in high school; I honestly can’t remember it specifically (I believe it was around 3.9-3.92) but I do remember that I graduated in the top 2% of a 493 student class. Unfortunately, there were a lot of personal issues going on the last couple years of high school, and so I was unable to take the SAT until the very, VERY last minute; I had no time to study and obviously ended up not doing well enough to apply to any prestigious schools.

Reading 680 Math 520 Writing 550 (prompt was horrible). Composite = 1750 (I know :()

I took 7 AP classes (Lit, Chem I + II, Bio, US History, Spanish, Calc AB) but only took 3 tests - AP Lit (4), AP Chem (3), APUSH (3).

My extracurriculars were also horrible. I didn’t get involved much at all - I did a lot of language and subject tutoring as well as a few clubs (no leadership roles) but that was about it.

I’m doing pretty well at my current institution - I was invited to Alpha Lambda Delta (honor society), made the Dean’s List, have a GPA of 4.0, and have taken 18 credit course loads both semesters. By the end of this year, I will have 42 completed credits. Unfortunately, my current institution has amazing academics but the area is so secluded that my opportunities for research/internships are very seriously limited and the atmosphere isn’t that great. Because of how well I’m doing, I’m hoping that I may finally have a chance at the school of my dreams. I am retaking the SATs in March and I’m hoping to get a 1900-1950. I think this score is possible now that I have worked a lot more on my math skills and have become a better writer since taking AP Lit.

I’m really hoping that my new schoolwork and GPA will help to make my high school work a little more…forgettable. Do I have a shot at NYU?
