Chances for a URM

Chances?

2005-06 National Hispanic Recognition Program - Scholar

My essays will probably be above average, not sure about my recs yet.

Thanks. :)

You sound fine.

Hmm....well...kiddo. You are a member of a racially preferred group here, and barring that, your stats show you to be beyond well qualified.

UM is a safety...

But..if you do come here...join the RC (shameless plug)...we need more smart minorities in East Quad.

KB

I agree with KB. Your stats make you a qualified match for Michigan. But given your URM status, Michigan is practically a safety for you.

You seem solid.

Because Michigan is considering more things than just ethnicity, it would also be in your favor if you were first generation to attend college, from a single-parent household, or from a lower socioeconomic group. You don't mention those things (and you may not wish to reveal them here) but I know they may also aid your chances.

With your GPA, class rank and test scores, you're definitely going to be admitted. Think about Honors.
