I know your GPA is kind of low for three of four of these schools (I don't know about Georgia Tech) and your SAT is definitely low for Emory, Georgetown, and NYU. Your honors and AP and extracurriculars will help, but definitely take an SAT prep course this summer or something, take it again in the fall and try to break 2000. And I can say this as an African-American: race is only ONE factor for admissions for SOME schools. Even though you are a URM, a score of 1800 on your SAT just simply is not competitive enough unless you have a stellar GPA and you've got something special that makes you stand out from everybody else. Yes your SAT is one part, but a lot of schools take it into heavy consideration and based on what you've put here, your low SAT score stands out even more. Just get your SAT score up and try to get a 3.5 and kill your essay, and I think you would have a good chance of getting into all your schools.
