So what do you think my chances are at the following schools?:

Boston College
Bucknell
College of New Jersey
Lehigh
Northeastern
Penn State - UP
Rutgers NB
University of Delaware
University of Maryland - College Park
University of Michigan
University of Virginia
University of North Carolina
University of Pennsylvania (big reach)
University of Florida
University of Miami
Villanova

What do you guys think? Any other schools to look at?

Thanks!

bump bump f

anyone?/?/?

Boston College - not sure

Bucknell - not sure

College of New Jersey - not sure

Lehigh - not sure

Northeastern - This seems like a match for you, maybe even a high match. Your stats are pretty good. The only problem is the rigor of your courseload. AP classes can really mean a lot. However, if your school only offers a handful of APs, this may not be as big a hindrance as I am predicting.

Penn State - UP - You’re out of state, and University Park takes only really phenomenal students from out of state. I think this would be a reach for you. I’d imagine your stats - or better - are what get IN STATE students into University Park.

Rutgers NB - You’re in state, so you’ve probably got a really good shot, but I’m not well-versed in Rutgers admissions.

University of Delaware - I think you’re pretty much in at the U of D. You are a perfect candidate for them.

University of Maryland - College Park - Again, probably a reach or a high match. Pretty top notch kids from in-state sometimes don’t get in at College Park - it’s getting increasingly competitive.

University of Michigan - not sure

University of Virginia - This is a big reach for you. It is the cream of the crop IN state. Again, you have a great application, but I think your courseload is going to play a role here. I suspect denied.

University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill? They can only accept 18% of students from out of state. Those students probably have much better SAT scores and more rigorous courseloads. I hate to say it (I feel like such a downer…) but this is a reach as well. When you apply to public schools in other states, you really have to be the BEST candidate. You’ve got a great application going for you, but it isn’t other-state public flagship worthy, just because of the way those schools operate.

University of Pennsylvania (big reach) - It can’t hurt to try…

University of Florida - not sure

University of Miami - not sure

Villanova - Not entirely sure, seems like a match, though.

does your high school offer a large number of APs or only a few? Because you only took a couple of APs, your schools offerings may affect your chances at some of these schools.
