I’m about to wrap up a 3 year enlistment in the Army. Unfortunately, I wasn’t the greatest student in high school, but my grades do show some upward movement before kinda slipping a little senior year once I knew I was going to join the military. While I was deployed however, I did take 2 college courses and got an A in both of them. I’m definitely more motivated to be a better student now, and I’m hoping that the college coursework demonstrates that a little bit.
I’m applying to Northeastern (Early Decision), Bentley, Bryant, Baruch, Umass Amherst, and potentially USC. Bryant, USC, and Baruch will require me to apply as a transfer, while for the rest, I’ll be a freshman applicant. If theres any other schools I should consider applying to, feel free to make some suggesstions!
3.23 GPA UW (not entirely sure my weighted one but I’d guess ~3.4)
32 ACT
1500 New SAT ( 770M 730CR)
My school didn’t offer very many AP classes. I took both the AP Spanish and AP Stats tests despite my school not actually offering either class.
EC:
Varsity Baseball and Basketball during my sophomore year
Duke TIP in middle school if that counts for something
Volunteer work all throughout high school and afterwards (I eventually earned a medal from the Army for this)
Junior and Senior year I was involved in Marching Band which basically took up all of my free time
School Plays and Musicals all 4 years
