I don't know what my rank is! I'm projecting that my recommendations will be great, and I'm a good writer so I think my essay will be great, as well. I also have obstacles that I overcame during my high school career to write about (heroin addiction/overdose of people close to me) so that might be something that shows how it hasn't been easy. Thanks everyone for taking the time to read this! Let me know what you think.

Lookin’ good. Congrats on your achievements, you’ve done awesome. Everyone that I’ve known that’s gotten into NYU had similar stats minus the SAT scores. They all had around a 2100-2300. Maybe they had a few more AP’s or something, but you have more honors. Provided that you do get your SAT/ACT up, I think you’ll be in good shape. By the way, if you’re looking into J school, also look at Mizzou (you’ve got the stats for them, don’t even worry) for print media and Syracuse (only for broadcast, but if you want to be in broadcast, it’s Mecca). Good luck!

Yeah right now I’m thinking I’d send my ACT score (I think I can get that up to a 30-something) rather than SAT score! Thank you so much, that was really helpful! I’ll definitely look into Mizzou; I looked into Syracuse already and all the journalism related majors they had were a little too concentrated for my liking as Im not sure if I want to study online journalism or print, although I’m leaning towards print. Anyway, thank you so much- really! You can’t imagine how much that helps!

Fair warning that at NYU, journalism is a required double major, so you must choose an additional major to do as well

Oh wow, I didn’t know that! I was actually planning on double majoring wherever I went anyway so that’s fantastic. Thank you so much!

Looks like you have great stats! I would focus now on getting the SAT or ACT scores up and you should be good as gold! Good luck!

Thanks, I actually just got my scores back from the second SAT & ACT I took and I got a 30 on the ACT and 2020 on SAT so hopefully that ups my chances!
