<p>Any type of opinion or advice would be greatly appreciated.</p>
<p>How many AP classes? The typical UF admit has 5, and most students are in the top 10% of their HS class. Still, you have good SATs. Overall, I'd say you have a very good chance.</p>
<p>You should get into UF without a problem. If you can retake the SAT and get an extra 10 points (CR or M) you can get into the honors program--lots of perks for that.</p>
<p>I think the GPA is too low for the honors program. You need a 4.0 weighted average as calculated by UF, and he has a 3.5 UW - it's a possibility depending on his/her courseload, but kind of doubtful.</p>
<p>Honors is out of the question. If I were to take the SAT's again, it would be on January 28th (next closest date). University of Florida requires scores before then to be eligible for the honors requirements.</p>
