chances for admission-please help me out guys, I'm really stressing

hey! I'm an in-state female. I have a 4.0 W GPA and a 3.4 UW. I'm a junior this year so next year I can get my first semester averaged into my GPA so I can bring my W GPA up to about a 4.15-2. This year I only took 2 ap classes which I feel awful about so next year to try to fix it I'm taking 4. My highschool is a competative high school in NC. My freshman year it was rated on the 100 best high schools, I believe it has gone down.

Class rank: 126/582
SAT: I'm going to try to get a 1350-1400

I'm considering starting a club next year.
I'm also trying to find a political campaign to volunteer to help
interior design boy scout explorer program

I know I'm not the strongest candidate but on my app I figured out how I'm going to market myself. I'm a person who really enjoys people and enjoys helping them. I'm also thinking about going into pharmacy so I'm planning on staying at unc for about 6 or so years (don't know if that would make a difference).

so what are my chances? any advice?

sorry wrong forum

I'm really sorry. I know it's in the wrong forum but I just looked at that one and it seems like my questions are more likely to be answered in here. So if anything could answer that'd be great.

Hi...I figured I'd give this a shot. :)

I'm a senior this year (in-state from a tiny, under-funded WNC high school) and was accepted to UNC in January. Your academics sound similar to mine. I can tell you my stats when I applied:

4.2 GPA
11/162 class rank
1 AP course (US-H; made a 3 on the test...haha!)
a few clubs: interact, FBLA, etc.
1460 SAT

I think you have a shot depending on your SAT score and possibly what county you're from. I've heard UNC has per-county quotas.

What could really pull your chances up are the essays if you're a good writer. Mine were decent, I think, so if you want to read them and see what you're up against I'd be happy to e-mail them to you. Just let me know.

Don't put all of your hope into UNC. My friend did that and was crushed when she didn't get in. Then she got into Wake Forest and is just as happy. There are definitely other options! Good luck next year and don't forget that senior year isn't just for work. Have a little fun! :)

anyone else?

Hey tahi, can I see the essay?
Just PM it to me.
I'm applying next year.

i was rejected as a freshman i had a 3.8 unweighted 24 ACT, 690 SAT II verbal...basketball team, debate team, yearbook, volunteer work, jobs...but I got accepted twice (didnt go first time) as a transfer. I have a 3.6 at the University of San Diego. If you are in-sate, sounds like you have a really good chance. From what I have been told in-state is nothing compared to getting in out-of-state. Admissions officer told me acceptance for out of state was something like 7%.
