Chances for admission

I was just wondering if you guys could tell me if I would get in or not. Should I apply in the next 2 weeks or can I wait for a month or so.

Stats:
SAT: 1520 (M-V) 780 Math, 740 Verbal
2150 with Writing, I got screwed (630).
SAT 2: 800 Math
730 US History
690 Chemistry, retaking will get 750+
650 Physics, retaking will get 750+
ACT: 33
GPA: 3.7 UMich GPA
Rank: 30/350. Kinda screwed up freshman and sophmore years.
Other stats: I have the hardest course load in my high school with 11 AP's.

EC:

On debate team for last 3 years
On Varsity Tennis Team for last 4 years
Co-founded and President of Venturing (Boys Scouts) Club
On Chess Club, if that really means anything

I'll prolly get good recs and stuff. I'm indian. I'm not just another asian who just cares only about school and hw and stuff.

What are my chances for admission? And should i wait til after i take my sat 2's in october, or should i just apply now. Thanks a lot guys, i appreciate it.

You've got a good chance. I know a lot of people who got into UMichigan without even taking the SAT 2's, so don't wait.

when do the give out notifications if we apply now?

It depends. Sometimes a month, sometimes 6 months... If you apply now, most likely within the next 2 months.

Michigan DOES NOT take SAT IIs into consideration, so don't worry about it. Apply as early as possible!

I forgot to add that I went to a Youth Leadership thing, and I went to Governor's School. I was wondering if you guys could tell me if Michigan is a safety or match or reach. Thanks again.

solid match

Honestly, some of you people, gosh, I don't even know how to respond. I need a break from this.

If you're looking for scholarships, apply right now.

solid safety

Err...I wouldn't say UMich is exactly a solid safety for anyone out of state, especially if you're not from an underepresented state. Safety/Solid Match is more like it.

I disagree with Christine , with a 1520 and solid grades , u michigan is definately a solid safety

yeah, I think that the op does not need to worry about getting in. He/she will be a strong contender for a good sized scholarship as well.
