Chances for admission?

I was just wondering if you guys could tell me if I would get in or not.

Stats:
SAT: 1520 (M-V) 780 Math, 740 Verbal
2150 with Writing, I got screwed (630).
SAT 2: 800 Math
730 US History
690 Chemistry, retaking will get 750+
650 Physics, retaking will get 750+
ACT: 33
GPA: 3.75 uw, 4.2 w
Rank: 30/350. Kinda screwed up freshman and sophmore years.
Other stats: I have the hardest course load in my high school with 11 AP's.

EC:
Over 150 hours of community service at Library and Boys and Girls Club
State Treasurer of Mu Alpha Theta
VP in Habitat for Humanity
President of National Honor Society
Treasurer of Interact Club
Went to Governor's School over the summer
Attended this Youth Leadership thing
Representative in Student Council for last 2 years
On debate team for last 3 years
On Varsity Tennis Team for last 3 years
Co-founded and President of Venturing (Boys Scouts) Club
On Chess Club, if that really means anything

Thanks a lot guys.

Your stats definately put you in the competitive pool of candidates. What school are you looking to apply to, as each one has slightly different standards.

i'm looking at the college of engineering

In that case, your numbers and ECs are fine. But when you fill out your application, dont list activities just to list them. If you really didn't do much with chess club, dont list it... admissions officers will think you spread yourself too thin if you list 54986 activites. Other than that, be sure to write fantastic essays. In the end, I think they are what got me admitted to vandy (I am an engineer as well). Good Luck, vandy is such a great place to go to college!

do you guys think that vandy is a match or reach for me? Thx

I think Vandy is one of the few schools where the College of Engineering is easier to get into than the Arts & sciences. I think you've got a good chance.

match if you do really well on your essays/recs
