i have asked this thread before about my chances but never really got much input. i think that i am one of the more interesting cases for an applicant.

SAT: 800m 600cr 600w
ACT: 31
SATII: 690math 650bio
UF-GPA: 3.6
Class rigor: Most difficult--10 APs most my HS offers
Alumni: Yes
Major: Mathematics

I have no idea, but I can say that I'm in a similar boat. 32 ACT, 3.7+ UF Gpa. I would say that we are both reaches, but then again I'm from OOS so u probably have a better chance than me.

Seriously, people on cc are very hard on themselves... IMO both UF2013hopeful and Samuelson777 are way qualifyed for UF... i would even go as far as saying UF could be a safety school for you guys...

I was thinkin the same thing isa17, especially since your standardized test scores are pretty high. I know plenty of students that were WAY less qualified and got into UF.

~But, just in case there is no harm in applying for summer admission (although I don't think you need to, summer is more for people with 3.0-3.49 GPA; 1100-1200 SAT; 24-27ACT; and GOOD extra curriculars)

Maybe it isn't as hard to get in as I thought... I was deferred from u of michigan, so i'm a little jittery as far as college admissions go, and I was instate for that school. University of Florida is probably my top pick now and I've heard a lot of different things as far as admissions go. Let's just hope cause we will know for sure in Feb.

no, it happens all the time, we had this discussion before. when you submitted your app there was a spot that specifically said that "The term identified below indicates your preference; however, the Office of Admissions may offer you admission to another term."
you can log in to your application, even if you submitted it, and see that under term of entry it says that.
heres the link to return to your application:

I can't back anything up with physical evidence, but it seems UF would like OOS applicants more than in-state applicants because most in-state applicants qualified for UF will receive Bright Futures (full ride or 75%), while OOS people provide the $$.

If I applied for the fall semester to UF and I'm out of state, can I still apply to the summer, if I would get better chances. When is the summer deadline?

I remember a friend of my son last year called the admission's office to have his application changed from the summer to the fall. He had taken an internship for the summer and explained this to them. I would call if I were you.
