Chances for all Ivies and other top tiers!!

Hello,

This is my first post. Though I have been looking at many colleges, I only now have decided to take an initiative in my college bound experiences. Thank you all in advance!!

About Me:
I am 17yrs old, Hispanic/Caucasian (but look totally Caucasian). I come from a very competitive and large high school in New York. I am a Junior in high school. I am very honest and the ideal candidate for college( or unless I think so). Also, I know I might seem nearly perfect and ideal, but I had to work very hard to get to where I am.

Possible Colleges:
All Ivies especially the big three, Harvard, Yale, Princeton. LAC's such as Middlebury, Bates, Colby, Bowdoin, Vassar(<3).... etc. Other top tier colleges such as Stanford, MIT, or Georgetown.
Maybe even Oxford or Cambridge in the UK.I know that all of these schools are nearly impossible to get into, so can you guys answer truthfully, without bias. Thanks.

My Grades:
- I currently have a 4.0 unweighted average, with at least a 4.7-4.8 weighted average.
- Ranked number 1 out of like 400 or something like that.
- I have taken college level/ AP/ honor classes since the 8th grade.
- Multiple AP's ( like 8 I think) so far, more next year.
- Project Lead the Way: engineering classes from RIT.
- PSAT: perfect score!!
- No ACT/ SAT/ SATII's but will probably get phenomenal grades.

EC's:
- National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Yearbook (Editor), Newspaper(Writer), others
- Band(Trumpet, Alto Sax, Piano, Violin)
-Drama Club (minor actor)
- Sports: Tennis ( nationally ranked) Soccer (lead my team to the sectionals), Indoor Track
- Others that I can;t remember

Prospects outside of school:
- More than 500 hours of community service: little league sports, Shining Stars(helping kids with disabilities), library, nursing home, cancer- walks.
- Work experience at McDonald's and a medical office(now).
- I have been published in the NY times and Post in minor articles.
- I have a band that has played in front of more than 1,000 people once.
- Countless hours of general research in alternative energies, to which I have discovered a way to convert lithium and hydrogen into plausible energies, which is more efficient than even solar energy. Countless hours of research for anti-gravity, because I hope to one day live like the Jetsons. LOL!
- I have a modelling contract and have been in a super bowl commercial, as an extra of course.
- other things that I can't think of as of right now.

Thank you for reviewing my prospects. I am not perfect, even though I get it a lot, I am very insecure, especially when it comes to colleges. I have worked very hard for a very prosperous life because I come from a poor family. I don't know what I am going to do with my life but I promised my mom that I will become a multi-millionaire. I can't tell you the number of nights I stood up studying and preparing for my future. Answer honestly because I was honest... Thank You!!

Congratulations on your acceptance to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT, Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, Georgetown, Vassar, Middlebury, Bates, Colby, Bowdoin, Brown, Cornell, UPenn, Columbia, and Dartmouth.

You know, I almost feel bad for you because you’re going to have to pick just one school from all of the Ivies and Top Tiers.

What high school do you attend?

Haaahhaaaaahaaa

u r crazy.

Yea i’ll be damned if you dont get in.

Seriously, can a person actually be this conceited? I doubt it…■■■■■…

^Looks like somebody’s a tad bit jealous. He didn’t pompously boast any of his accomplishments and academic inclinations. He might be a ■■■■■, and maybe not. But he’s definitely not a ■■■■■ just because you envy him.

From the level of detail I agree probably not a ■■■■■. I’m not jealous; I’m just saying that it’s not alright to say things like that you are perfect / an ideal candidate, and a future multi-millionaire. If you use language like this in your essays, then I don’t like your chances.

Way to totally skew his words around.

1] He specifically stated that he was NOT perfect.

2] He claimed himself ideal due to his honesty, not just his stats.

3] He said he wanted to become a multi-millionaire for his mother. He meant that in a hopeful manner, not a contemptuous or stuck-up one.

lighten guys, hes new (don’t think hes a ■■■■■). As long as your essays (watch the tone of your writing) and recs are fine, you’ll get into at least one ivy. Study for your SAT/ACT and don’t forget SAT II’s.

^theres optimistic, then theres realistic. Please be realistic. Don’t be overconfident; Just work hard for a year and then let your decisions roll in.

^ He’s a hispanic valedictorian with a perfect SAT score (projected) who discovered an alternative source of energy, not to mention he was published in the New York Times. If you guys don’t think he’s guaranteed acceptance then there is something wrong with you.

Thanks guys for all your responses, even the critical ones. All of your responses helped a lot!! I will try not to sound so conceited when I write my essays.
Also in regards to financial aid, my current mentor, who was a former employee of Goldman Sachs, has almost guaranteed a scholarship, but only for two years (maybe). How are the financial aid opportunities at these establishments.

@Branches92, I know those attributes may seem like a guaranteed acceptance, but people have told me that only the utter best and richest can get into some of these schools, which I am not.
btw. I know that I discovered a new energy source, but even though it is much more efficient than solar energy, it will be very costly, though I have been working with an engineer from Con Edison. Hopefully my new source will be applicable in the new future, because I calculated that it will be able to power an entire city. Go Hydrogen and Lithium!! lol

You’re so in! Wow you are amazing!!!

And what are your safeties?

Reason I ask is that the HYPed schools say no to ~3/4s of Valedictorians and those with 800 math and about ~80% of those with 800 verbals.

Excellent stats and ECs are required for consideration but are not determinative of acceptance.

Apply, and good luck, and love thy safeties!!!

It would be a shock if you didn’t get into any of those schools.
Best of Luck to you, you are DEFINITELY on the right track!
great stuff

chance me back please

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/brown-university/1074681-chance-me-brown.html</a></p>

Any one else? It would be great to hear a little more about my chances!!! Thanks Anyways

^@OP, the consensus is pretty clear on your chances, if you don’t see it then im starting to doubt the validity of your great stats…

If you don’t get above 2300 SAT you have put your hardwork to shame.

But if what you say is the truth, your extracurriculars have gained you acceptance into Yale & Princeton and all the LAC’s. Harvard is still a 50/50 chance.

But if what you are saying is a lie, then too bad for you, you just wasted your time posting on this forum and eating up the time you could be using to become like us CCers.

@theRadtomato47, i can ensure that all my stats are 100% correct. I also understand that I can probably get into all these colleges (I am not trying to be concieted). I am just trying to be 100% sure. Thank you for you criticism, It helped =)
