Chances for American at McGill

31 on ACT (34 English, 28 math, 34 reading, 26 science)
3.9 unweighted gpa

Since I'm submitting the act do I have to take subject tests? What more information do you need to chance me better?

Seriously no one? You guys get off on this stuff

You do not need to provide subject tests along with your ACT. Your uw gpa seems solid, though do not know your course rigor since you did not provide your weighted gpa. As for ACT score, you should refer to the chart linked below. Your science ACT score is right at the cutoff for certain faculties, so your chances will depend in part on the faculty to which you are applying.

BTW, the deadline for US applicants has passed, I believe, so I hope you have already applied!

Forgot the link! Here it is:

[Admissions standards (US)](http://www.mcgill.ca/applying/standards/unitedstates/)

Forgive me, but what is this american obsession with being “chanced” over the internet by strangers who could write literally anything? You don’t seriously base your university decisions on this stuff I hope. How about going on the McGill website, looking at admissions standards and making your own decision?

(Not a personal issue for you, just noticed an endless amount of the exact same threads).

No, I won’t make decisions based on this information. However, I do like to know where I stand against other applicants and perhaps someone has more experience than I do in the admissions field.

I have taken two honors courses freshman year, two sophomore (as many as were avaliable to me), three ap junior (my current) year (spanish, apush, english lang) and 3 senior year (french, eng lit, psych).

With this information, good or no?

Not good enough.

If you meet the minumum cutoffs for your chosen program as shown in the link above, you will in all probabilty be admitted. At McGill, there are no “soft factors” like EC’s, rec letters, legacy, URM etc.

You appear to meet the minumum cutoffs for even the most selective programs. If you submit the ACT with writing, no SAT II’s are required.
