i’m going to endulge myself in one last useless thread where i beg all of you guys to chance me when really, no one guarantees anything (then i’ll be off to write my long-overdue essays)
anyways, i’m a US citizen living internationally, though i’m asian, specifically, chinese (i spy my chances dropping already)
99th overall ssat, full marks on maths
i play painfully generic instruments (piano, flute, you know what i mean) and a couple of sports, though at a competitive level (football and lacrosse)
my grades are alright, this year’s are far better than those from previous years!! (will they see me as inconsistent?)
my interviews, so,
milton- went alright, strict time limit but it wasn’t too bad. i made a couple of (what i believe to be terrible) jokes
st. paul’s- my first, was mediocre, didn’t really connect
deerfield- definitely my best, i loved my interviewer and we had a great conversation, made lots of jokes and connected well overall
andover- yeah, not great, my first on campus interview, didn’t really connect
exeter- it was alright, as in, we had a good conversation but i don’t think we connected, the interviewer seemed kind of, well, out of it.
choate- probably second best to deerfield, i loved my interviewer and we talked lots about my hopes and ambitions for the future—she really seemed to be interested in the book i was reading too
[the rest of the interviews i haven’t done, and apparently middlesex doesn’t need an interview if you’re international??]
recommendations, well,
maths- pretty good, she’s a tough teacher but you can tell she likes me and believes in my mathematical competency in her writing, also writes about competition maths
english- blind, i’d say alright
counsellor- pretty good, mentions a couple of my community service things and leadership roles
[hoenstly i’m just afraid that my school won’t get my stuff onto the portal on time whoops]
