Chances for an AES

I’m a high school junior and I plan on applying in the fall of next year, but I’d like to know what to improve on this year to give me the best chances for a scholarship.

Here are my stats:
GPA: 4.0
Rank: 1/1050 (will probably drop to 2)
Clubs: NHS, SkillsUSA Engineering, Technology Student Association,
8 AP classes at the end of this year
Middle Eastern Decent, Female interested in Engineering (don’t know if that helps)
80 hrs of community service by the end of this year.
I haven’t taken the SAT yet, so any tips on that might help.

Thanks!

@Orange117 Do you your SAT or ACT scores yet? Test scores are a big facture.

I haven’t taken the SAT or ACT, but I plan on taking the SAT in March. I’ve been studying on Khan Academy.

It seems like you are on track with your GPA and class rank. Get your test scores at least 1470 in SAT or 32 in ACT to qualify for full tuition and $1000 per semester. All the best!

I’m about to submit my app. These are my updated stats. Do I still have a good chance at the distinction scholarship?

ACT: 30 (I’m retaking. My schools stressed SAT and I went into ACT not really prepared, but it was easier than SAT.)
SAT:1380
Internships: UT Southwestern STARS Summer Research, STEM Center at a community college building a plant watering robot
Clubs: Same as the originals along with National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society (Treasurer), High School Heroes, Interact
14 AP Classes
On track to get an Associates degree
