yeah Im also appealing to UC Davis…its amazing though, I got into UCSB and UCSC where I applied UNDECLARED, but I got rejected from Davis, Berk, and San Diego where I applied as IR/political science. I know Berkeley is a top draw school, but I know some real dumba-s-s-es who have gotten in there undeclared, so I think its worth a shot.

What do you think my chances are with those stats/info for UC Davis? (my stats are on par if not better than their averages I think)

I heard that UCLA is just super SoCal like USC and its easy to get lost like it is at Berkeley. Its also supposed to be very racially divided (asians only hang out with asians, etc)…the only difference is that I know Berkeley like the back of my hand.

hey fire480!
i’m appealing too! (but as an international, therefore chances—>1/∞)!

just wanted to check- when did they receive your appeal documents- they apparently received mine 2 days ago (according to fedex) and it still doesn’t show on the myBerkeley application thing! runs around in circles and panics

i’m glad you decided to appeal. it doesn’t really have any negatives, except that you spend a li’l time and money- which i’m sure is worth the 3% (or even if it was 0.3%) chance of getting into cal! :)

hope we get through and get to cal! cheers! :)

I’m happy to see that there are people who are appealing
I am too even there is little chance…but we don’t really lose anything. Time and 42 cents for 3% of admission ? totally worth it !

Just a note:
CNR, if I remember the stats from the presentation correctly, accepts 18.9% of applicants. This puts it second to CoE in terms of competition. The college has grown a lot over the past few years. I don’t think going for CNR will help your chances.
