Major
Engineering

If you guys could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. My application is not spectacular, but I am definetly hoping to be admitted in Cal or UCLA

If more information is needed, please do ask. Any help is welcomed!

I say in.

You should have done a sport or some other kind of extra curricular.

I would say match, but your major is competitive. So, I’d say:

Berkeley: slight reach
UCLA: match
UCSD: safe match
UCI/UCD: safety
USC: safe match

Good numbers, but like a stereotypical asian male, you lack excellent extracurriculars and leadership abilities… BUT, you are applying to UCs, which don’t really care about those things, so I say you could get into all of them.

Yeah I know. At my school, I wouldnt say there are a lot of opportunities to get involved though.

I don’t think I am the typical asian male “nerd” though. Is there any way for me to show colleges this? :</p>

UCB/UCLA: Match
UCSD: Match-Safe Match
USC: Match-Safe Match
UCI/UCSB/UCD: Safety

UCB/UCLA can be random. Numerically you should be in, but admissions can often be random. UCSD/USC should be good bets. Best of luck!

Senior Year
AP Chemistry
AP Computer Science
AP Spanish Language
AP Computer Science
Women’s Lit

why do you have CS written twice?
nevertheless good chances..

Berkeley: match
UCLA: match
UCSD: safe match
UCI/UCD: safety
USC: safe match

gpa: slightly above ucla’s average
sats: off the chart
ec’s: very good

you’re in everywhere

Sorry, meant AP US gov

Any sports?? That definitely helps for UCLA and UCB.

BUMMPPP

How heavily are essays loooked at???
I’ve just realized how bad my first UC essay is… but the other one should be decent..

How does this affect my chances???

Match/safeties.

A weaker essay usually won’t hurt your chances.

Except, for the top UCs, essays are as important as GPA and rigor of course load. So a weaker essay, especially for engineering, can hurt.

Good chances. Nice SAT’s

SHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIET I ATTENT ARCADIA!!! 0.O
You gotta whisper me your name lol…
Anyways…
Nice Junior year…great SAT scores…dam >.> u managed APUSH at our school…hah your in everywhere =P
But if I had to be harsh:
UCB:Match
UCLA:Match
UCSD:Low Match
UCI:In?
UCD:In…
USC:Low Match/Match
